SUCCESS STORIES

Victor Lee Fashion Design, 2003
Working hands on in Amoross Apparel, the company which provides superstore Jusco with clothes has brought Victor into the heart of the fashion industry and strongly in touch with the public fashion market. In chalking up experience, he aims to master tailoring and to have his own boutique in the future, with hopes of going international.
Victor recounts the ease with which he got into this highly sought after career: “Raffles has helped my career – I’ve been working for over three years now and I get into any company I apply to easily. I’ve also worked for British India and G2000.” He cites the training at Raffles as key in being able to take on responsibilities at work: “I can now easily help my superiors with whatever they ask me to do because I would have already studied it in Raffles.”
Having studied at another local fashion/design college before joining Raffles, Victor looks back now on his education and reflects, “Raffles is the best fashion college! The subject I studied gave me a lot of opportunities in the industry and most importantly, a lot more exposure to the fashion industry than other fashion colleges in Malaysia.”
The fashion enthusiast chose to study the subject because of his own personal passion for fashion. As such he is keen to encourage all potential students to “GO FOR IT!... but prepare to study over time because there is no time for you to have a break while you’re studying!”
