Teresa Thian graduated from Raffles Design Institute Kuala Lumpur in 2005 with an Advanced Diploma in Fashion Design. Teresa’s graduation collection titled ‘Thai One On’ was awarded the Best Collection by our judging panel. Instead of opting to complete her degree, Teresa was eager to use her skills she had acquired during her 2 years of study to start her own label. Her new label titled Gallo has opened up Bangsar, home to Kuala Lumpur’s hip shopping and dining district. The store has a deliberate French flair, a theme she likes to surround herself with. As she spends a lot of time in her studio within the store she wanted to create an extension of her own living space. In fact some of the store furniture was taken from her home. Since opening few months, her first collection has sold out. Her next collection will be on the shelves soon. Gallo is located at:
