Fresh Graduate Shines at MiFA
Malaysian-International Fashion Awards (MiFA) hosted the annual Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week in November 2005 at Avenue K and the newly completed Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The aim of the event is to provide an opportunity for local and international Designers, Press and Buyers to meet as well as a platform to discover and launch new designers.

One such young designer was Nanda Yan Noung, who presented his latest collection titled ‘Northern Star’ under the Boreas label.

Nanda hails from Myanmar and graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Fashion Design from our Kuala Lumpur campus in 2004.

His collection was inspired by Myanmar’s quest to move ahead and follow its own ‘Northern Star’ in the fashion world.
